These are the give-way and conduct rules. The PIC must take all possible measures to avoid a collision, regardless of any ATC clearance: a collision risk exists when another aircraft's range is decreasing and its relative bearing stays constant. The aircraft with right of way maintains heading and speed; the one giving way must not pass over, under or ahead.
