Three of the instruments in front of you, the airspeed indicator, the altimeter and the vertical speed indicator, are simply pressure gauges. They measure air pressure and present it as speed, height and rate of climb. Understand the two pressures they sense and what happens when a pipe blocks, and these instruments hold no surprises.
