(Airworthiness, flight envelope and airframe limitations)

A legal aeroplane is not automatically a safe one, and a safe one is not automatically legal. This section covers both halves: the paperwork and inspections that make an aircraft airworthy, and the speed and load limits, set out in the Flight Manual and drawn as the flight envelope, that keep the airframe in one piece. As commander you are responsible for both before you fly.
