Wind star
One wind, every leg. Enter the forecast wind (F214 spot wind) and your TAS: the star shows groundspeed all round the compass, and the legs table gives the heading to steer.
Each spoke is a track; the figure at its tip is your groundspeed along it. The dashed ring is TAS 90 kt, the magenta arrow the wind (240/20).
Legs
Add each leg of your route to read off heading, drift and time.
Headings are °T at the TAS entered: apply variation for a compass heading, and remember the forecast wind is an average. The theory lives in the triangle of velocities in the Navigation study guide.
